Woman in her 20s stabbed to death in London home as 27-year-old man arrested

A WOMAN in her 20s has been stabbed to death in a South London home as a man is arrested on suspicion of murder.

The victim suffered multiple stab wounds after being knifed in Stockwell on Sunday night.

A 27-year-old man who knew her was arrested on suspicion of murder.

Police officers had forced their way into a property on Clapham Road after reports of a disturbance.

Paramedics battled to save her, but she died at the scene.

 A post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place tomorrow.

Homicide detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime are leading a murder probe.
