GUSTY Saturday with gales or severe gales as cloud, rain and hill snow push eastwards, with sunny spells and showers following into the west.
More showers expected on Sunday, with some persistent rain or hill snow for a time. Temperatures drop below average for the time of year bringing a higher risk of hail, sleet and snow to lower levels, mainly in the north.
Weather is chopping and changing at the start of the following week, with further rain, sleet and snow. A more settled spell later Monday into Tuesday but wet weather will push in through the rest of the period.
Gales or even storm force winds with temperatures below average, especially in the north.
