Two minors aged five and seven, are said to be among ten pedestrians that were injured after a vehicle plowed through a busy Manhattan street.
One witness claimed to see a victim ‘flying through the air’ by Grand Central Station at East 42nd and Lexington Avenue.
Police say none of the victims involved suffered life-threatening injuries and were taken to Bellevue Hospital, according to CBS.
One man has been taken into custody, while a woman – believed to be in the passengers seat of the vehicle – fled the area by foot, Citizen reported.
Responding officers have requested additional units for traffic and crowd control and asked people to ‘avoid the area’ as they investigate.
