Man lying in middle of Henry Hudson Parkway killed in hit-and-run

A 27-year-old man laid down on the Henry Hudson Parkway and was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver, cops said.

Reilyn Vinas, who lived in Sugar Hill, was sprawled on the northbound parkway, near West 181st Street in Washington Heights around 9:15 p.m. Thursday, when a driver slammed into him and kept on going, cops said.

He was discovered unconscious and unresponsive, with severe trauma to his body, and was pronounced dead on scene.

Police did not know why Vinas was lying on the parkway, or how he ended up there.

It was also not immediately clear what type of vehicle struck Vinas. The driver remained at large early Friday.
