A 23-year-old man was stabbed to death on Staten Island late Saturday, with his alleged killer surrendering after a brief standoff, according to police.
Ayomide Shodiya, 22, was charged with murder, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon after the fatal encounter at 2188 Richmond Terrace shortly after 11 p.m., cops said.
Police said Shodiya initially barricaded himself inside the building before turning himself in.
Cops recovered a knife at the scene.
The victim, who was stabbed multiple times in the torso, was taken to Richmond University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The Post is withholding the dead man’s identity pending family notification.
