Jeffrey Epstein on suicide watch after he’s found with neck injuries in jail

Convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein has been placed on suicide watch after being found sprawled out and injured in his federal jail cell, law enforcement sources said Thursday.

Epstein was nearly unconscious in his cell Tuesday at Manhattan’s Metropolitan Correctional Center with injuries to his neck, sources said.

The multimillionaire financier, who’s being held at the jail without bail pending trial on child sex-trafficking charges, was rushed to a nearby hospital.

By Thursday the 66-year-old was back at the jail and on suicide watch, sources said.

Investigators believe he may have injured himself on purpose or as a ploy to get transferred out of the jail.

Epstein was busted July 6 over the alleged sexual abuse of dozens of young girls in his Upper East Side townhouse and his waterfront mansion in Palm, Beach, Florida, between 2002 and 2005.

He has pleaded not guilty, and faces up to 45 years in prison if convicted.
