‘Jealous’ trader killed air stewardess after checking her social media in hotel

A financial trader has been detained after having confessed to killing a flight attendant after they met for sex at an airport hotel.

A major manhunt was launched in Moscow for Nikita Enin, 25, after stewardess Albina Mukhametzyanova was found strangled in the bath of their suite.

The cryptocurrency specialist claimed he was overcome with jealousy after snooping on the 23-year-old's social media following a night in a hotel at the city's Vnunoko airport.

In a video released by the Russian Investigative Committee, Enin said he killed the flight attendant 'unintentionally' after 'a row because she cheated on me'.

Enin, seen with a black eye, said they had spent a night together but until he checked her messages on her smartphone, which triggered a row that led to her death.

He said: "She began to speak louder, louder, louder and I just … went crazy."

According to the police, officers found Enin in Kartmazovo village, close to Vnukovo airport, and detained him.

Reports said he resisted arrest and wielded a knife but gave himself up after officers fired shots in the air.

The stewardess's body was found this week in a bathtub full of water at the hotel where staff said the couple had regularly met over a period of months.

CCTV images showed Enin at reception extending the room for another 24 hours before vanishing in a taxi, according to the hotel.

Staff later found the corpse of the stewardess who worked for an airline called I FLY with services to China, Vietnam and Russian cities.

Olga, a former colleague of Enin, told REN TV that he was 'a bit strange' and had a keen interest in bondage sex.

She said: "I know nothing about his relationship with this girl. I only know that Nikita was fond of BDSM, often tried to talk about it, about all sorts of bandages, suspensions, and so on."
