Forget about a white Christmas this year — there’s no snow in the Big Apple’s forecast, according to weather-watchers.
While it may not make for the most sentimental Noel, New Yorkers can at least enjoy the fact that Old Man Winter will take the holiday off, according to AccuWeather senior meteorologist Bob Larson.
“No harsh cold, no major winter storms. It should be pretty good,” he said.
Santa should have an easy time navigating — it will be “nice and sunny” on Christmas Eve and the following day, with the mercury rising to 42 degrees on Christmas Day.
Temperatures will remain relatively mild throughout the week, climbing to around 50 degrees Friday as expected rains sweep through the region.
The mercury will dip around Sunday, but forecasters aren’t expecting any major chills, Larson said.
