- A couple’s extravagant gender reveal nearby massive trees angered TikTokers

- Spectators dubbed the gender reveal extravaganza ‘Forest fire aesthetic’
TikTokers are outraged over a couple’s spectacular gender reveal which set off massive sparklers next to several large trees.
The contentious video posted by @blanca3326 in December showcases a gigantic ‘Oh baby’ sign surrounded by a blue and pink balloon arch. The location and exact date of the event is unknown.
A family can be seen standing in front of the sign while Bruno Mars’ Locked Out of Heaven played in the background leading up to the explosion.
Within seconds a giant puff of smoke can be seen coming from behind the sign along with a pink-colored cloud, confetti, and sparklers.
The video has since garnered more than 20 million views with some spectators dubbing the reveal, ‘Forest fire aesthetic,’ especially since a gender reveal party in California led to a massive forest fire in 2020.

Spectators were unhappy with the couple’s location choice next to the tall trees.
‘All those sparklers next to trees. Genius,’ one person wrote.
‘Baby announcement or fire?’ another added.
Others questioned the reasoning for the couple to go over the top adding, ‘Couldn’t you just send an email or [something].
Meanwhile, others didn’t seem to mind the extravagant setup harmful and insisted the couple inspired their own gender reveals.
‘If it takes all my life earnings to make my gender reveal like this, then I will spend it all in an instant,’ a supporter wrote.
‘Get ready, this is going to be your gender reveal when you’re pregnant,’ another added while tagging a friend.
‘This is beautiful,’ another chimed in. ‘I’m glad nothing bad happened.’

The gender reveal extravaganza sparked concern among spectators after a similar incident led to a wildfire burning 22,000 acres.
Refugio Manuel Jimenez Jr. and Angela Renee Jimenez caused the September 5, 2020, El Dorado Fire in California when they staged a baby gender reveal at El Dorado Ranch Park in Yucaipa, at the foot of the San Bernardino Mountains.
The couple used a smoke-generating pyrotechnic device that quickly met the park’s dry grass and ignited the blaze.
Strong winds moved the fire throughout the mountains until it was finally extinguished on November 16.
The fire led to the death of a firefighter which led the couple to be charged with involuntary manslaughter charges along with three felony counts of recklessly causing a fire with great bodily injury, four felony counts of recklessly causing a fire to inhabited structures and 22 various misdemeanor counts related to the fire.
