Police on Wednesday shared images in social media of the man suspected of punching an elderly Brooklyn woman in her home on Christmas Day.
“Help us spread this photo so we can get this criminal off the street,” Chief Terence Monahan tweeted, along with an image of the man.
Lyubov Faynshteyn, 88, a resident of Haber Houses in Coney Island, was attacked around 7 a.m. Tuesday. She told The Post that he made it through her door and demanded money after she left it unlocked for a home-health aide.
Faynshteyn was able to call for help by reaching a bedside alarm.
“He heard the noise, and he grabbed it from me. He started hitting me in the face,” said Faynshteyn, who suffered multiple bruises.
Nearly a dozen NYPD accounts tweeted or retweeted surveillance photos of her alleged attacker Thursday morning. The images show the man, who is in his 40s, pulling a large wheeled suitcase and wearing a black hooded sweater and beige pants.
