Yellowstone has been airing on Paramount Network and the western melodrama has become popular across the globe. Taylor Sheridan, the creator of the series, has since announced he will be working on a spin-off series for Paramount Plus. Fans are wondering whether Walker and Jimmy actors, Ryan Bingham and Jefferson White, will star in the new spin-off.
Will Walker and Jimmy star in the Yellowstone spin-off?
Fans are already looking forward to the expansion of the Yellowstone universe as Sheridan gets to work on this third series.
The news of the spin-off, 6666, came shortly after the announcement of a prequel show called Y: 1883.
While Yellowstone is based on the Dutton Ranch, run by John Dutton (played by Kevin Costner) and his family, the new spin-off will bring another ranch into the spotlight.
The new series will be set during a period when Native American Comanches took the lead in parts of the Wild West.
The 6666 is a notorious ranch where only the finest horses and livestock are raised and the best cowboys are born.
While the official cast list for the spin-off is yet to be announced, various news reports have suggested two original Yellowstone characters may feature.
The reports have claimed Jefferson White and Ryan Bingham, who play recurring characters Walker and Jimmy Hurdstrom in the original, will reprise their roles.
Cinemablend is just one of a few websites reporting the news, saying: “The currently untitled Yellowstone spinoff will star Jefferson White’s rodeo hopeful Jimmy Hurdstrom and Ryan Bingham’s oft-maligned guitar player who just goes by Walker.
“It was not made clear in the initial Paramount+ announcement whether or not this new series means White and/or Bingham will be leaving Yellowstone proper, or if they’ll be appearing in both shows.”
Looper suggests the two characters may leave their Yellowstone roles in season four, but this is yet to be confirmed.
The Hollywood Reporter said the new spin-off was “rumoured to be featuring characters from the flagship series”.
Ranch hand Jimmy’s life was left hanging in the balance at the end of season three after he was bucked off a horse for the second time.
He was advised to give up on pursuing rodeo but insisted on getting back on the horse and ended up unconscious on the ground.
Fans are wondering whether he could survive another accident as he has already been left injured by falling off a horse.
There is a chance he will survive as he is a fan-favourite character and actor White has already suggested the upcoming season four will be the best yet.

Walker is due to reprise his role in the upcoming season and he is known for being one of the more antagonistic characters.
He has clashed with Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) on a number of occasions and fans are wondering whether he will get knocked down a peg or two in the next season.
If both characters are to feature in the spin-off, they will need to exit the original series alive and well.
Jimmy could decide to leave the ranch and pursue another career if he survives the fall.
Walker could be driven out of the ranch if he gets into another stand-off with Rip in the new episodes.
Neither White nor Bingham have given anything away about starring in the upcoming spin-off series.
White is on Instagram and he is known to take stunning professional photos of his co-stars behind the scenes.
He uploaded a video from the last day of filming for season three of Yellowstone, saying: “Thank you so, so much for your generosity and enthusiasm these past ten weeks. I feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by this brilliant cast, crew and community.
“I can’t tell you what happens next – stick around and find out. It’s worth the wait.”
Bingham is also on Instagram and he shared a photo of himself in front of the Yellowstone ranch house with the hashtag #NotDeadYet.
Yellowstone season 4 airs on Paramount Network later this year.
