When is The Supervet at Christmas on Channel 4?

The Supervet at Christmas will air on Thursday December 6 at 8pm on Channel 4.

It is filmed at Noel Fitzpatrick's veterinary surgery Fitzpatrick Referrals in Eashing, Surrey.

The special will be an hour long.

What animals will feature in the Supervet Christmas special?

Noel will be tending to three poorly dogs in the Supervet Christmas special.

Crossbreed rescue puppy Tatiana requires surgery but may never walk normally again.

Meanwhile Labrador Luna requires dramatic intervention to sort out her bad shoulder and elbow.

Peppa the Dalmation also needs an operation for spinal chord damage but the risks are high.

Who is Noel Fitzpatrick?

Noel Fitzpatrick, 50,  is a pioneering Irish veterinary surgeon.

His surgery in Eashing specialises in Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery while another in Guildford focuses on Cncology and Soft Tissue Surgery.

In 2009 he became the first vet to apply prosthesis when he gave Oscar the cat new prosthetic legs.

He is a trustee and founder of the Humanimal Trust, a charity focused on the development of surgical implants and drug delivery technology.
