TYLER, The Creator has at last released his highly-anticipated album Call Me If You Get Lost, featuring Pharrell and Lil Wayne.
Fans of the musician have been patiently waiting for his next musical instalment since the 2019 release of his Grammy award winning LP IGOR.
The latest album, Call Me If You Get Lost, which Tyler, 30, took to Twitter to describe as a "gangsta grillz tape", was released to the public on Friday.
According to Spotify, the 16-song strong album features artists including Lil Wayne, Pharrell Williams, rapper Lil Uzi Vert and Ty Dolla Sign.
Following the release, Tyler Okonma quote-tweeted a message who wrote to fans in 2010, reading: "I want a gangsta grillz tape so f***ing bad got damn."
The rapper added "DONE" to the tweet, alongside a video of himself in the studio with record executive and promoter DJ Drama.
Tyler added that the collaboration on the album had been "years" in the making as he joked his "15-year-old self" would be ecstatic over the release.
Call Me If You get Lost has a hard act to follow, after IGOR took home the Best Rap Album trophy at the 2020 Grammy Awards ceremony.
But critics are already loving his latest work, calling the album "complex and even beautiful" and deeply "personal" as it sees Tyler transform into his new alter-ego, Baudelaire.
"There are many layers to sift through. Tyler’s music is as fascinating as ever," David Smyth described the new release in the Evening Standard.
Prior to its release, a promotional billboard for the album's rollout was spotted by fans on 9 June, 2021.
The billboard included the name of the album as well as a phone number – which when called, played a recorded conversation between Tyler and his mother.
The following day, 16 June, Tyler released the first single from the album, Lumberjack, with its traditional music video.
A week later, fans were hit with another single titled Wusyaname and another accompanying video.
Tyler "The Creator" Gregory Okonma was born in the Los Angeles area of Ladera Heights, California on March 6, 1991.
The rapper, fashion designer, and actor shot to fame in the early 2010s as the co-founder and de facto leader of alternative hip hop group Odd Future.
After releasing his debut studio album Goblin via XL Recordings in April 2011, he signed a joint deal with RED Distribution and Sony Music Entertainment, and the rest is history.
Tyler has amassed a HUGE fortune during his time in the spotlight and has an estimated net worth of $16million.
