The Walking Dead season 11 will make its debut on AMC on August 22 in the US. For those in the UK, they will be able to catch up the following day via Star on Disney Plus. Express.co.uk has all you need to know about what time the episodes will air.
What time is TWD season 11 premiere?
The Walking Dead is back for a final season and the drama will come to a head in the upcoming episodes.
Fans are looking for plenty of answers in the season premiere, as they were introduced to new threats like the Commonwealth and the Reapers.
Maggie Rhee (played by Lauren Cohan) made a dramatic return last season and her clash with Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) is also at the forefront of people’s minds.
In the first episode, the gang returns to Alexandria with supplies but they soon realise they do not have enough to survive.
Maggie makes a daring suggestion, but they must find more food if they are to rebuild their community.
The episode synopsis continues: “Once on the road, a violent storm erupts forcing them underground into a subway tunnel.
“As nerves fray and suspicions increase, chaos ensues. The terror is relentless as our people get a glimpse of what Maggie and her group endured prior to returning to Alexandria.
“Meanwhile, those captured by the strange soldiers are relocated to another undisclosed location.”
The Walking Dead’s season 11 premiere airs Sunday, August 22 at 9pm ET/8pm CT on AMC in the US.
For fans in the UK, they will have access on August 23 via Disney Plus, but an official release time has not been given.
The usual release times for new episodes are 12am PT, which is around 8am in the UK.
If fans are unable to wait that long, they can gain access to the new instalments a week before they air on AMC.
Subscribers to AMC+ would have already seen episode one, which came out exclusively on August 15.
This means they will have access to episode two, titled Acheron: Part 2, this weekend.
Sadly, fans in the UK are unable to access this service, so they will have to wait for the Disney Plus release.
The final instalment introduces a whole host of new characters, including Mercer, (Michael James Shaw) a strong member of the Commonwealth military.
Fans will also meet Stephanie Vega (Margot Bingham), with whom Eugene Porter (Josh McDermitt) formed a virtual relationship.
There is also the Governor of the Commonwealth, Pamela Milton (Laila Robins) and her son Sebastian.
The official casting for the character is yet to be announced, but fans think it will be Jacob Young.
He is currently listed as playing the character named ‘Deaver’.
In the original comics, Sebastian kills Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) in the penultimate issue.
As Rick has already left the TV adaptation, it will be interesting to see what role he plays.
Ahead of the premiere, fans have taken to Twitter to express their excitement.
