THERE appeared to be friction on the latest episode of The Chase as Bradley Walsh made a savage dig at quizzer Shaun Wallace and his knowledge.

The ITV game show welcomed a set of four new hopefuls all vying to earn a lump of cash on the teatime favourite.

Amongst them was the first player up to the desk, Nathan.

Nathan put in an impressive performance as he racked up a commendable £8,000.

Chatting to show host Brad after his cash builder round, he was asked which of the formidable quizzing brains he would like to take on.

Revealing he was not afraid of a challenge, Nathan said he wanted to take on “the best of the best” referring to The Governess, Anne Hegerty.

However, Shaun caught them with just 17 seconds to spare before saying his usual catchphrase: "It's just another day at the office."

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
