'The Challenge': Jemmye Carroll Explains Why She 'Doesn't Like' Jenna Compono, Igniting Twitter Fight

Ever since Jemmye Carroll repaid Jenna Compono saving her at the beginning of The Challenge: Dirty 30 by throwing her into elimination the first opportunity she got, the two haven’t seen eye to eye. Their tension has only multiplied since Jenna’s husband and former champ Zach Nichols began posting tweets regarding his political stance, which Jemmye has openly condemned, resulting in heated Twitter exchanges with the couple. Using his posts, Jemmye explained why she “doesn’t like” Jenna, igniting a Twitter fight.

Jemmye Carroll and Jenna Compono’s rivalry started in ‘The Challenge: Dirty 30’

In 2015, rookie Jenna Compono and Rivals II finalist Jemmye Carroll competed in Battle of the Exes II and seemingly left the season in good standing.

While Jenna continued to return, Jemmye took a two-year break and came back for Dirty 30. The “Barbie Beast” won the final heat in the first purge of the competition, giving her the power to save one person.

She chose Jemmye, but the veteran repaid her by sending her into elimination against her best friend in the house, Kailah Casillas, the first chance she had.

Their tension has never fully healed, especially after Jemmye and her now-husband and The Challenge champ, Zach Nichols, have gotten into full-blown arguments on social media. In one fight, he claimed Jemmye’s ex-boyfriend, late Ryan Knight, would be “ashamed” of her.

Jemmye explained why she didn’t like Jenna in Apr. 2021 tweet

The All-Stars competitor retweeted an account that included several screenshots of Zach’s tweets where he made anti-mask and vaccination comments and remarks deemed transphobic.

She then responded to several followers who consider his views political, noting she considered them “dangerous to the trans and gay community.”

Jemmye then tweeted that she held Jenna accountable for his words because she believes those who “choose to marry and reproduce with a bigot” are “equally complicit.”

The newlywed responded, claiming the veteran’s fans are sending her death threats because the veteran tweets about them so often. While The Rivals II finalist agreed that sending death threats isn’t “acceptable,” she explained they’re coming from people who are enraged with Zach’s posts.

Jenna responded, igniting another Twitter fight

After Jemmye continued to explain why she considered his views harmful, Jenna responded with several screenshots of the veteran’s past tweets where she used the “r” word.

The All-Stars competitor admitted they were “ignorant” and she’s “embarrassed” by them but has since learned. Jenna responded by claiming Jemmye had a hand in getting people kicked off from The Challenge due to their past tweets and believes the veteran has a “lame” reason for not liking her.

However, the 32-year-old noted Zach’s tweets are recent, whereas Jenna’s screenshots occurred in 2010. Jenna then called Jemmye out for having “conservatives” as friends and thinks the veteran intentionally attacks her and her husband.

Responding to a follower, the Barbie Beast noted Jemmye has her phone number and can speak to her privately but believes she tweets about her for “publicity.” The Challenge 36: Double Agents airs Wednesdays at 8/7 Central on MTV.
