Take a look inside the life of Bargain Hunt’s Natasha Raskin Sharp

Natasha Raskin Sharp reveals her grandfather ‘was a magician’

Bargain Hunt airs on BBC One and it is known for its impressive list of antiques experts, including Natasha Raskin Sharp.

The presenter is recognised for offering up her knowledge on Antiques Roadtrip and Baggage Battles amongst other daytime shows.

The 36-year-old said: “I was gently nudged in the direction of the antiques trade and auction houses by my dad, who thought that I’d be well-suited to the environment.

“Although I’d never normally admit it, he was absolutely right!”

Natasha is the daughter of contemporary Scottish artist Philip Raskin, who specialises in painting landscapes and seascapes.

Philip’s works have featured in many exhibitions and have been sold all over the world.

He was a restaurant proprietor for 20 years before becoming an artist full-time, having studied at the Glasgow School of Art.

It was through the auctioneer McTear’s, who was selling his work, that Natasha developed an interest in the profession.

Back in 2015, Natasha was known to have sold her father’s work and one piece, From Here to Eternity, was snapped up for £600.

As for her personal life, Natasha married Joe Sharp, a producer of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip, in 2017.

The couple met back in 2013 and built a relationship over five years before settling down together, they now live in Glasgow.

The wedding is believed to have been held in Natasha’s home country of Scotland.

She has provided some insight into her home life, sharing the odd snap of her home on social media.

Posting a photo of her living room filled with books and luscious plants, she tweeted: “In our house, my husband takes care of the plants and I take care of the playlists… My weekly music show on @BBCRadioScot starts at 10 pm.”

She is now a regular presenter on BBC Radio Scotland and recently shared a throwback photo from her early career.

Sharing a photo of herself smiling and sporting a different hairstyle, she said: “2016: pre-fringe & pre-weekly music show on @BBCRadioScot.

“A distant memory now! Join me tonight from 10pm via @BBCSounds. All hairstyles welcome…”
