Former EastEnders star Nigel Harman will join Strictly Come Dancing
Nigel Harman opened up on an “awkward” encounter with Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood ahead of his debut on the show.
The Casualty star and former EastEnders actor was talking about the judges when he revealed to Express.co.uk and other publications that he’d forgotten about the interaction with Craig when he’s agreed to take part in the show.
“So I know Craig… from years ago, I haven’t seen him in 20 years,” he stated.
“I did a show with him and I remember from that experience being lined up, and we had to do something one at a time because someone was doing it wrong.
“And it got to me, and it was me… And I forgot this story until I signed up to do this show and then I’ve gone… oh s***.”

Nigel went on: “So he’s either going to be really pleased to see me or it’s going to be awkward.
“But the others I really like! I’m looking forward to meeting Motsi and Shirley.”
Elsewhere, Nigel admitted he had been struggling with one aspect of dancing despite just having started training.
“I’m struggling with the faces a bit, the faces have to be really big,” he explained.
“So people will come up to me while we’re dancing and they’re like [pulls face] and I’m like ‘Are you ok?’
“They’re like ‘Yeah that’s what you’re meant to do.'”

Nigel is best known for portraying heartthrob Dennis Rickman on EastEnders from 2003 to 2005.
Nigel, 50, left the BBC soap when Dennis was murdered in 2005, but his character remains an all-time favourite.
In a recent This Morning interview, the Casualty star explained fans often remember his soap character more than he does.
Nigel confessed: “People come up to me in the streets and want to discuss a storyline that I don’t even remember being present at.”
Reflecting on today’s storylines, he continued: “I think I have a son and maybe a grandson as well…So I think because of that I’m still fresh in their minds.
“So they come up and chat to me like it was yesterday – they’re reminding me and I’m going, ‘Oh yes I remember.'”
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One on Saturday at 6.35pm.
