Strictly's Nadiya breaks silence after missing out on celeb partner and says 'life doesn't always go the way you want' | The Sun

STRICTLY Come Dancing star Nadiya Bychkova insists she's relishing the new series despite missing out on a celebrity partner.

Fans of the show were stunned, and Nadiya herself was disappointed, after learning she wouldn't have a celeb partner for the first time in her six years on the programme.

Now, Ukrainian Nadiya, 34, has said that while 'life doesn't always go the way we want it', she will still be giving her all as a member of the cast ensemble.

She wrote on Instagram: "I just wanted to encourage you all today because that is what you have done for me over the weekend.

"This is going to be a brilliant series of Strictly. I hope you all enjoy it and I’m looking forward to being part of the biggest show on TV.

"Life doesn’t always go the way we want it to but the people we come across can make a big difference to our perspective, our mindset and the way we face the next day.

"Your kindness, love and care has really lifted my spirit and my soul so ‘THANK YOU’ from the bottom of my heart."

The positive spin comes after reports she and boyfriend Kai Widdrington, who is also a pro dancer on the show, are setting up a live tour to rival the BBC franchise's next year.

It follows the pair's debut live show last year which clashed with Strictly's arena tour.

We revealed how the couple, who got together last year, were all over each other while filming Saturday night's launch show.

The public display of affection was so intense it left many of their co-stars feeling awkward.

An insider said: “Nadiya and Kai were all over each other during filming and could barely keep their hands off each other.

“They were making a real spectacle of their relationship and didn’t seem to care who was watching.

“They performed together for some dances, but in between takes they were stealing kisses, holding hands, being very touchy-feely and generally making sure everyone knew they were a couple.

“It was over the top and awkward for everyone around them."

Kai, who is partnered with Angela Rippon, has backed his girlfriend on social media, calling her "perfect" in response to her posts about her on-show disappointment.
