Carlos felt like he 'delivered the fun to the judges'

During last night's It Takes Two Molly said: "I think after watching Tyler and Dianne's couples choice and they did a similar style, the judges were kind of into it so we thought maybe there's a good chance of them enjoying our one.

"But I completely get what they were saying, I guess with the theme tune and everything it wasn't quite as exciting as some of our dances have been because there wasn't a lot of places to take it. So it was more down to us to take it somewhere else…"

Show host Rylan, 34, asked the pair how they felt about the situation they found themselves at the weekend.

“I had so much fun with it and I feel like we delivered the fun to the judges but of course there's always space to do it better,” Carlos shared.

Molly replied: "That was tough. I definitely had to hold back some tears because I was having so much fun and this can't be my last dance you know? And I hope I haven't let Carlos down because he's been such an amazing partner and I didn't want it to end there.

    "It was a tough night."

Strictly Come Dancing professional Giovanni Pernice and judge Anton Du Beke star in a new three-part BBC travel series exploring Sicily.

Reigning champion Pernice, 32, will take Du Beke, 56, to explore the Italian island where he is from.

Pernice said: "To say this has been a dream project is an understatement. Taking Anton to my much-loved home of Sicily was simply 'bellissima'.

"We danced, we laughed, and had the time of our lives – with great culture, food and company. I cannot wait for viewers in the UK to come on this journey with us."

A teaser trailer shows Pernice and Du Beke sailing off the coast of Sicily.

In the clip, the Strictly judge jokes "the capitano has got lost in the middle of the ocean" as they pan around to the scenic views.

The BBC said the dancers will eat Sicilian cuisine while perhaps indulging in a tango or two in the new series.

The pair will also explore local sights including Mount Etna and the old towns on the Mediterranean island.

Craig reveals why Bruno really left

Both Craig and Bruno were on the original Strictly judges panel, alongside Len Goodman and Arlene Philips.

Bruno missed the last two seasons due to commitments in the US.

The Italian became a judge on Dancing with the Stars and due to clashes he was unable to film Strictly Come Dancing.

Craig suggested that due to Covid, the fanfare around Bruno’s departure “dwindled” but spoke about Bruno’s life in the US saying: “He’s got a massive set of friends in America, he has a beautiful swimming pool, a beautiful house, he’s quite at home there and doesn’t miss us at all.”

Len Goodman wows fans with throwback

The 78-year-old dancer left Strictly to join Dancing with the Stars.

Len Goodman was head judge while working on Strictly and was much loved, but chose to move to Dancing with the Stars in the US.

Wowing fans, the former professional dancer shared images of himself dancing in 1970.

Len, who has been dancing since he was 25-years-old, could be seen with a full head of thick dark hair and dancing with partner, Cherry Kingston.

Talking to the Mirror, Len said: “If I’m at a dinner dance and get up with my wife, men come up and say, ‘Will you dance with my wife? She would love it.’ But if I dance with one that opens the floodgates.”

Tyler and Diane could win the crown

A body expert has revealed why they might just do it.

Staying middle of the leaderboard, Tyler and Diane are yet to dance in the dance-off, but it may be because of how close they are.

Body expert Darren Stanton, speaking on behalf of betfair, said their “closeness” may win it for them.

Stanton explained: “Tyler has been working hard and has a fantastic relationship with his partner Dianne.

“There is always a physical closeness between them and it’s clear they have struck up an amazing friendship, which will last no matter how far they go in this series.

“Tyler comes across as a humble guy and, like many of the other contestants, shows a clear determination and focus.

“It seems as though Tyler is taking the competition week by week, instead of focusing on the end result.”

    Shirley gets co-star’s name wrong

The Strictly head-judge joined the show the same year as her professional co-star.

Over the weekend, Shirley Ballas was once again the subject of frustrations from Strictly fans.

During her critique of Tyler and Dianne, Shirley called the professional dancer “Diana”, saying: “I was very very very impressed, Diana, when you moved away and then you had to spin and he picked you up within a blink of an eye.”

Fans took to social media with rage: “Shirley still calling Dianne Dianna after 6 years of being on the show is so disrespectful.”, “If Shirley’s going to call Dianne Diana, then I think the least we can do is call her Shelley.”

      James Bye thanks fans

The actor took to Instagram to thank fans for their continued support.

James and Amy keep finding themselves at the bottom end of the leader board. At the weekend, they missed on being right at the bottom with their 26 out of 40, meaning Tony found himself instead.

Despite being at the bottom with the judges’ scores, fans voted and James and Amy ended up safe.

Filled with gratitude, the pair thanked those who voted for them: “Well, that was emotional! Thank you to everyone who voted.

“What an incredible night celebrating 100 years of the @bbc and to represent @bbceastenders at the same time was a dream come true! (shame about the scores, but you can’t win them all). Thank you all again.

“I just wanted to say a massive, massive thank you to every single one of you who took the time to vote for us on Saturday night. I think you can see from the picture that I’ve put up just how much it means for us to be in this competition.”

During the episode that paid tribute to the BBC‘s 100 years, Tess Daly stepped aside for Angela Rippon to introduce Kym and Graziano.

“Angela Rippon – 78 years young and still impossibly gorgeous. What a girl #Strictly”

Shirley makes clear the public need to do better

The head judge spoke to the camera over the weekend.

Some have said she’s shifting blame after having come under fire in recent weeks.

After the dance off, Shirley had faced a lot of criticism, perhaps more than her colleagues, for who she would choose to save over the last few weeks, however she made clear that who ends up in the bottom two is the fault of the public.

Talking directly to the camera backstage at the weekend, she said: “The judges have had their say and now it’s ALL down to you at home.

“Who have YOU put in the bottom two?”

      The truth about Strictly composer

Dave Arch has been composer for the hit BBC show since 2006.

Just two years after the show launched, Dave Arch joined Strictly and has been there ever since.

The musician, composer and conductor has been Musical Director for Strictly since he joined, and though private, it’s known he has a wife and two sons and one daughter.

Though the two are just very close friends, Arch and Claudia Winkleman were once rumoured to be an item.

Winkleman mentioned him during the show: “Our wonderful Dave Arch was honoured this week with a honorary degree from The Prestigious Skills Hall, which is absolutely extraordinary. So I think we should have a round of applause. We love him. Congratulations to Dave.”

      Kym turns things around

The 46-year-old singer has reportedly been having confidence issues.

Appearing on Strictly‘s spin off, It Takes Two, with her partner last week, Kym was questioned by host, Rylan.

Graziano explained to Rylan that Kym doesn’t believe in herself: “She says like ‘I’m horrible, I don’t know how to do it’ and I mean like, I ain’t done an operation in my eyes I can see very well! You’re doing brilliant and that’s the challenge. That is where we are aiming for. The confidence.”

Kym admitted: ” do have a bit of imposter syndrome but I have to…”, but Rylan cut her off to remind her: “You’re Kym Marsh from Hear’Say, what’s wrong with you?”

Kym laughed, but the words and work appear to be paying off as she didn’t end up in the bottom at the weekend after performing the Quickstep with Graziano, in honour of Strictly Come Dancing.
