Strictly Come Dancing bosses slap strict partying ban on contestants after Covid scares

PANICKED Strictly Come Dancing bosses have slapped a strict partying ban on contestants after a string of Covid scares.

They have told the stars they are there to take part in the show — and nothing else.

It comes after The Sun told yesterday how contestants Maisie Smith and HRVY had been seen breaking social distancing rules.

They were seen with their pro partners Gorka Marquez and Janette Manrara all walking closely together as they arrived to film spin-off show It Takes Two.

Maisie, 19, and HRVY, 21, were also spotted last week leaving rehearsal studios within minutes of each other in the early hours.

Producers already had a close eye on them fearing romance could blossom.

A source said: “There is disappointment with HRVY and Maisie after their partying was exposed last week.

“Contestants, cast and crew have always had a few drinks after the show to let off steam. But bosses have slapped a party ban on the youngsters and reminded them they are there for the show and nothing else.

“Some older crew members have commented that they’re turning the show into Ibiza Weekender.”

Boxer Nicola Adams, 38, and pro partner Katya Jones have already had to quit the BBC1 show after Katya tested positive for Covid-19.

Judge Motsi Mabuse, 39, will have to miss the next two shows after she had to make an emergency trip to her home in Germany.

And It Takes Two co-host Rylan Clark-Neal, 32, has had to isolate after coming into contact with the virus.
