Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) has suffered greatly at the hands of evil Leo King (Tom Wells) in EastEnders, but — in spite of this — she decided to do what she believes is the right thing during tonight’s episode, and thus — after the boat party tragedy — she handed herself over to the police, admitting that she’d killer her stalker.
Whitney found herself in grave danger when she discovered that Leo had been hiding in her attic. The young man attempted to murder her in a shocking showdown at the end of last week’s instalments, but — as a struggled ensued — she ended up accidentally killing him with a knife.
Out of options, Whitney called Mick (Danny Dyer), who was shocked to discover what had transpired, and — worried she might go to prison — he told her to take the knife on board the boat party and chuck it in the Thames, giving them time to deal with the body later.
Meanwhile, Linda (Kellie Bright) proceeded to get drunk on board the boat and caused a scene, but Mick soon realised that Linda — the love of his life — needs him, and therefore he couldn’t help Whitney cover up the murder.
As Whitney pondered what to do for the best, chaos and tragedy ensued on board the boat, as multiple lives hung in the balance, but it was Dennis (Bleu Landau) who ultimately lost his life.
As the residents of Walford were evacuated from the boat — and the police and ambulance services were all present — Whitney decided to take advantage of such an opportunity, and therefore bravely turned herself in to the police, revealing what she’d done in the process.
Later, she was taken to Walford’s police station.
Will Whitney go down for murder?
