Life is delivering one harsh blow after another to Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami) in EastEnders and, in the wake of the tense poker game with the scheming Panesar family, he is more broken than ever as he tries to pick up the pieces of everything that has happened.
Kush has been struggling with a gambling addiction – something he is not ready to admit to, even though it led to him committing theft from Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton).
With cruel Suki (Balvinder Sopal) turning the screw on the Slaters and upping their rate, Kush has done everything he can to keep payments up – but after big wins come huge losses.
And as Kush reels from recent events, Kat (Jessie Wallace) has had her fill of him. As he tries to explain his actions, she is having none of it – and he is heartbroken when she heads off out with a man from work. Is she about to cheat on Kush?
Devastated he starts to accept that he has lost everything and there be no way back for him and Kat – and also their finances.
But on the latter, Kat is certainly not giving up but her risky plan only ends up covering one month of Suki’s outrageous rent.
Which is when she turns to Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) for help. A right resident money bags he is. Phil simply laughs in Kat’s face and she is outraged.
But then another idea forms and she makes the offer to clean Phil’s house. But just what is she planning to do with her access to his home – and will it plunge the Slaters and Kush into even more trouble than before?
