Spoilers: Kurt exits Hollyoaks as he issues Tony with dark warning about Edward

Kurt Benson (Jeremy Edwards) made a shock exit in Hollyoaks tonight (December 9), as he hightailed it out of the village after being exposed as a ‘con man.’

Kurt made a shock return for the Channel 4 soap’s 25th anniversary earlier this year, and revealed to best pal Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard) that he’d previously faked his own death.

However, in spite of his return being something of a happy occasion, things were soon soured by his attempts to steal money from the residents of the village.

Yes, Kurt persuaded Mandy Morgan (Sarah Jayne Dunn), Darren Osborne (Ashley Taylor Dawson), Verity (Eva O’Hara) and Tony to invest in his Slim Scran scam, but he was ultimately exposed by villainous Edward (Joe McGann).

With the truth about his scheming now public knowledge, Kurt found himself public enemy number one.

After another showdown with Edward, he decided to flee the village — meaning that Darren, Tony and Mandy were left in financial difficulty, as he hadn’t paid back the money he scammed them out of.

However, before hightailing it out of the village, Kurt warned Tony to be wary of his dodgy dad — something which piqued Tony’s interest.

Have we seen the last of Kurt?

Hollyoaks continues Thursday December 10 at 7pm on E4.
