Spoilers: Geoff destroys Alya and Yasmeen's business in Corrie?

Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) and her beloved nan Yasmeen (Shelley King) have poured their heart and soul into building up Speed Daal but Alya is on the verge of giving it all up in Coronation Street to get away from Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew).

The monstrous abuser bought his way into the restaurant while married to Yasmeen and tensions remain as high as ever as Alya discovers more and more of his horrific nature while her gran languishes in hospital, having suffered a heart attack ahead of her trial.

Realising she is unable to control herself working near Geoff, Alya decides that she needs a clean break from the business and prepares to sell her shares but as she reveals this to Sally (Sally Dynevor), Sally urges her not to give Geoff that victory.

Fans will recall that Geoff gave Sally a lump sum for her wedding to Tim (Joe Duttine) at a time when they didn’t realise that this was actually Yasmeen’s money. Sally hands the cash over to Alya and tells her that she should use it to buy Geoff out.

Geoff laughs in Alya’s face and outright refuses to budge from his place in the restaurant but he is staggered to discover where the money came from – and so is Tim.

Sally assures Tim that they can still afford a wedding – that money was never Geoff’s to give anyway. But Tim sees this as another betrayal from Sally and threatens to leave them on the rocks once and for all.

Meanwhile, with Alya’s decision made, she visits Yasmeen and informs her of the disappearance of Elaine Jones (Paula Wilcox) – convinced that Geoff is behind it.

Disheartened, Yasmeen admits to Alya that while Geoff is still on the loose, she feels much safer being in prison anyway and would rather be found guilty than have to face him again.

With leaves words making Alya more determined than ever to bring him down, what will she do next?
