Callum ‘Halfway’ Highway (Tony Clay) was on the receiving end of DI Steve Thompson’s (Phillip Wright) wrath in EastEnders tonight (December 1).
DI Thompson has been putting an immense amount of pressure on the young copper, in order to secure evidence on Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden).
Callum has struggled under said pressure, and therefore he opened up to Stuart (Ricky Champ) last week.
However, matters were complicated further tonight, as DI Thompson confronted Callum over the 999 call.
Viewers will know that Callum used Thompson’s log-in details in order to acquire the audio file of the call. As the call never amounted to anything, Thompson has been put under review.
The bent copper scolded Calllum and threatened to report him.
However, Callum stood his ground, and informed him that if he’s going down, then he’s taking him with him.
Go on, Callum!
Thompson retaliated by punching PC Highway in stomach, but Stuart witnessed the scene unfold and issued a right hook of his own, as his fist collided with the dodgy detective’s face.
Callum is in way over his head, but will he be able to get out before it’s too late?
EastEnders continues Thursday at 7:35pm on BBC One.
