Skint Katie Price demands £132,000 from perfume company after they went broke without paying her

CASH-strapped Katie Price is trying to prise £132,000 from a perfume company that went broke without paying her.

Jigsaw International was behind her money-spinning fragrance range – which included the "seductively feminine" Besotted, Stunning, Kissable and Precious Love.

The firm, which also created fragrances for Amy Childs and Calum Best, has called in liquidators without paying Pricey's royalties.

However, Jordan Trading, the company which handled everything from Katie's beauty profits to her fees for appearing on Loose Women, isn't letting the matter slide.

A statement posted to Companies House this month outlines "a claim for £132,774 in respect of both stock held by Jigsaw prior to administration and royalties due from the stock sold".

Katie's number-crunchers don't seem confident of getting the monster sum back though, with the report admitting: "It is unlikely that the company will be repaid in full."

Skint Katie has also handed her company over to liquidators, with Jordan Trading currently in the process of being dismantled.

It is an enormous fall from grace for the star, who once had a variety of profit-churning products that made Pricey a millionaire many times over.

Her perfume range was one of the jewels in the crown for her beauty empire from practically the moment it was launched in 2007.

The first fragrance to hit shelves was Stunning, which smelt of mandarin oranges and came in a bottle shaped like a giant crystal.

Speaking about her link-up with Jigsaw at the time, Katie said: "I've always been a big fan of perfume and think it's important for a girl to smell nice, so to finally have a fragrance of my own is amazing.

"It's taken 14 months to create, as I wanted something floral and feminine but still strong. It smells beautiful and I think a lot of women will love it just like I do."

Katie has remained a perfume fan, last year being spotted spending £600 at her local branch of The Perfume Shop in Horsham, despite her well-publicised money woes.

The star managed to dodge bankruptcy after striking an agreement with her creditors in December.

The tax man accepted her proposal of an Individual Voluntary Agreement to repay £22,000 of debt in a deal that allowed her to stay in her West Sussex mansion.

But her worries didn't end there, with the star racking up three court appearances this year alone.

She appeared Crawley Magistrates today where she denied screaming "Are you enjoying f***ing my husband?" at Kieran Hayler's new lover.

Pricey pleaded "definitely not guilty" to using “threatening or abusive words or behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress”.

The mum-of-five was originally due to appear on March 13, but skipped it for a luxury Thailand holiday with toyboy Kris Boyson.

The Sun has contacted a rep for Katie Price.
