Ruth Langsford left her Loose Women co-stars worried after confessing that “it’s been terrible” when it comes to the health of her husband Eamonn Holmes.
The GB News star has been battling with chronic pain in his back, and had to undergo a life-threatening surgery to correct his problems.
Reflecting on their “terrible time”, Ruth confessed on Loose Women: “He was struggling with bulging discs.

"Then he had a back operation, which you know was always that nerve-wracking moment isn't it?
"And then a few days after that he fell downstairs and broke his shoulder. So it's been a really difficult time, so I took some time off really to be at home and look after him.”
To make matters worse, Eamonn’s mum recently passed away.
Ruth went on: “And then very sadly his mum passed away in the middle of all that so it's been a terrible time."
"It's a lot of bad luck. And these things come along, and you're like, 'Anything else?'"
Her co-star Carol McGiffin was thankfully there to provide support for Ruth, as she encouraged: “You know what? 2023 can’t get any worse then, can it?”
A fretting Ruth replied: “I hope not!”
It comes after Ruth sparked concern for her ailing hubby amid a ‘worrying’ Christmas update.
Ruth shared a video of her adorable rescue dog Maggie with her loyal legion of followers as they made the most of the festive season – but fans were concerned that Eamonn wasn’t present in the short video.

Ruth captioned the clip: “Never seem to find time to post much over Christmas and I know it’s over now, but I couldn’t resist making this little reel of Maggie enjoy the festive season! It’s all about the kids isn’t it?!!"
But fans were left worried, as one wrote: “Where’s poor Eamonn? You never seem to mention him at all lately.”
Another added: “Oh, just love Maggie and your gorgeous Mum. However, how is your wonderful husband Eamon right now. I miss him so much on your posts.”
“Please let us know how Eamonn is Ruth we are so worried for him,” someone else fretted, while a fourth commenter said: “Awww, Maggie is loving that bed! Hope you’ve all had a super Christmas and that @eamonnholmes continues to get stronger every day."
