Coronation Street’s Sally Carman and Joe Duttine were spotted holding hands as they left the set of the ITV soap.
The actors — who portray Abi Franklin and Tim Metcalfe respectively — were snapped as they left the set of the serial drama.
The pair were holding hands and smiling.
Both Sally and Joe are currently at the centre of huge storylines in Coronation Street.
However, Sally’s glad that their storylines are separate, as she revealed she’s not keen on the prospect of an Abi and Tim romance.
She told Metro.co.uk: ‘Well that would be awful on every level. I would hate to be in the middle of Tim and Sal. Also we don’t want to work together, we see enough of each other at home!’
Abi is struggling after being unable to bid farewell to children Charlie and Lexie before they jetted off to Australia.
After suffering an accident at work, she stole some morphine from the hospital, but Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) caught her, and has been helping her to battle her addiction demons ever since.
Meanwhile, Joe’s character Tim has repeatedly defended his dad Geoff (Ian Bartholomew) after Sally (Sally Dynevor), Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) and Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) accused him of abuse.
However, he came to realise that all of the aforementioned women were telling the truth.
In last Wednesday’s episode (September 9) — he watched a video which confirmed that Geoff had been bullying and abusing Yasmeen.
Coronation Street reduced its weekly output to three episodes a week amid the Covid-19 pandemic in an effort to ensure the soap didn’t go off the air, but with filming having resumed, the serial drama will return to airing six instalments a week from tonight onwards.
Coronation Street continues Monday September 14 at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
