Phillip Schofield accidentally told a This Morning viewer they had won £250,000 during a game of Spin to Win – when in fact, they had won £250.
Easy mistake to make eh Phillip?
During Tuesday’s This Morning, after the host spun the wheel, (which is filled with cash prizes) it landed on a UK holiday and £250.
Although for some reason, poor Phillip misread it and told the caller they had won £250,000.
Although, he quickly corrected himself as he added: ‘Our competition department upstairs are going to be saying “what the hell just happened?”.
Speaking to the viewer he added: ‘It’s £250, you’ve won a holiday and £250 ok.’
That’s not the only mistake Phillip and Holly Willoughby made during the game because they were also faced with a dilemma after one caller said the catchphrase slightly wrong.
He should have said ‘Belle of the Ball’, but instead he said ‘Belle of the Belle’.
Holly and Phillip were unsure whether they should accept the answer, so they decided to check with their bosses backstage.
‘Well that’s not it, it’s close, but it’s not it,’ Phillip told the caller.
‘Adjudicator, adjudicator? Oh my God, they’re saying move on! Sorry… bye,’ he added.
Holly continued: ‘I can’t bear that, that was so close.’
To which Phillip responded: ‘I can’t bear that. We’ve not had that before. Executive decision, they’re still saying no.”
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
