Olly Murs awkwardly accused Meghan Trainor of 'stealing' one of his songs during an explosive confrontation on The Voice UK last night.
The former X Factor star, 35, cheekily confronted the fellow judge, 26, after Sir Tom Jones asked Meghan about her favourite songs.
The legendary icon asked the superstar: "Meghan, out of the songs that you do which one do you like the best?’
Meghan replied: "Dear Future Husband.
"I met an amazing man called Darryl and no one knew we were dating, and he went on tour with me and he would hide in the crowd and I would point right to him, and be like 'this song is about you'."
Olly then hilariously interrupted Meghan's conversation with Tom as he cheekily accused her of copying one of his greatest hits with a fun remark.
He joked with a slight dig: "Meghan, I have a bone to pick with you Meghan.
"Because Dear Future Husband sounds like my song Dance With Me Tonight. I remember when it came out I was like 'this sounds familiar'."
Meghan awkwardly laughed as she teased: "I got the same thing."
"It's a great song. We should sing a little bit now," added Olly.
"We should do a duet," she decided, picking up her microphone and standing.
The Voice viewers were then treated with a surprise mash-up of the two songs together as the pop icons united for a star-studded duet.
Fans of the show were left gobsmacked as Olly confronted Meghan about the similarities between the two hit songs and rushed to social media to comment on the awkward encounter.
One user labelled Olly 'sly' as they shared: "Can we talk about olly & Meghan in The Voice? Damn olly is sly, I like his move no hate on Meghan but we all know about "dance with me tonight" & "Dear future husband"
While another added: "Has Meghan Trainor just admitted plagiarising Olly Murs?"
A third viewer commented: "It’s called plagiarism Olly – sue the a*** off her for nicking your song!"
This season on The Voice Meghan stepped into Jennifer Hudson’s shoes as she became the new coach.
The platinum-selling singer/songwriter joined returning coaches Sir Tom Jones, will.i.am and Olly Murs for the new series.
Meghan, who was a judge on US singing contest The Four, previously said: “It’s a dream come true.
“I can’t wait to sit in the chair with my own button and listen to some incredible new talent.”
Olly, 35, said he was returning with “new energy and a new knee” after having surgery since claiming victory with contestant Molly Hocking last year.
