MasterChef fans were a little bit confused by "not proper" food served by the first round chefs.
The chefs tried make a dish to impress the judges – Gregg Wallace and John Torode – and try and get their way through to the next round.
And many of the contestants tried to use things which they felt were going to be the most impressive – but fans were not happy to see the "posh" ingredients on the show.
One chef, Annabelle, prepared a pork dish with fondant potatoes and celeriac puree.
However, she also included some micro herbs, called micro red amaranth, which did not impress fans.
One fan took to social media to say: “What’s with all these Micro foods & herbs, get some proper food #MasterChef.”
Another said: "What the f*** is MICRO BASIL? #MasterChef"
A third added: "Oooft and we have the MICRO RED AMARANTH making another appearance. This is the year of micro food. #MasterChef.”
Another said: “Everyone’s using microherbs. Obviously this year’s thing. #masterchef.”
Some others wanted to see "regular size basil," with another fan adding: “Micro basil? What was ever wrong with regular size basil? #masterchef.”
And another said: "#MasterChef is the word of the day ‘micro’ and you can’t ‘make’ herbs they grow from a plant!”
But in the end, it didn’t entirely matter to the judges, as they enjoyed Annabelle’s dish and kept her in the competition, along many others who were forced to come up with their dishes in 10 minutes.
MasterChef continues on Wednesday at 8pm on BBC1.
