Kaye Adams, Linda Robson, Brenda Edwards and Janet Street-Porter made up the Loose Women panel on Wednesday’s episode of the ITV daytime show. The group discussed a number of topics on the show, but a debate about immigration quickly became heated when not everyone agreed. Shortly after the discussion, Kaye began teasing ahead to the rest of the show but then walked off the set ahead of the advert break.
It seems the heat got a bit too much for ITV presenter Kaye as she walked off the set.
Before the programme went to an advert break, Kaye informed viewers of what else will be coming up on the show.
She said: “Lots more to come. Taking a leaf out of Dolly Parton’s book our Linda will be recreating her very own playboy bunny.
“Or should that be playboy nanny? You don’t want to miss it,” Kaye added.
She continued: “In a few moments, with much of the UK seeing record temperatures, should bosses give staff time off to cope with the hot weather?
“I think that’s a fabulous idea so I’ll see you all later,” she exclaimed as she got up out of her chair and walked off the set.
The rest of the panel burst out laughing and Linda joked: “Let’s all go!”
However, luckily Kaye just left the stage to cool off in the ad break and later returned to her seat for the rest of the show.
After the advert break the panel debated the issues surrounding workplaces during the current heatwave in the UK.
They discussed whether or not employers should give workers time off to cope with the heat.
Loose Women viewers quickly took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the debate.
One fan commented: “Don’t give them the day off but if its hot and they have finished all the work let them go home.. dont make them stand around in the heat with nothing to do. #LooseWomen.”
“What a stupid idea.. days off for hot weather?? Why not get a fan or air conditioning? #LooseWomen,” a second viewer raged.
A third commented: “#LooseWomen Absolutely not in agreement to days off because it’s hot. Most people would just go out for lunch because it’s too hot to cook and it’s not fair on hospitality/retail staff whose chefs have to work in 45° heat (who already work bank holidays, Christmas etc).”
This came just after a debate about immigration on the show, where Linda claimed she would welcome a migrant family into her own home.
She said: “I would welcome a family into my house. We’ll have the space once the kids have gone and I would love it.”
“I love looking after people. I’d love finding out all about their cultures, where they’ve come from and everything.
“I think more people should have migrants welcome in their windows.
“People say why don’t they go through the proper channels – they can’t, they don’t know about the proper channels, they can’t afford to get a plane over here,” Linda added.
Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV.
