Kaley Cuoco is already planning The Flight Attendant season 2 despite the first not even being released yet.
The Big Bang Theory actress is taking on a thriller for her next major role, playing Cassie – a flight attendant whose life is turned upside down after she wakes up from a night out next to a dead body.
And judging from what we know already, it’s not going to be one to miss.
Filming for the show was taking place all over the world – including Italy and Thailand – before the pandemic shut down production.
But speaking about the upcoming series, the team revealed that thankfully they can still be done in time for release this year, with only New York filming left to do.
When asked about what the future holds for the series, Kaley flat out stated: ‘Oh, we have plans for another season.’
The comment was then drawn back by Steve Yockey, the showrunner and executive producer, who added: ‘I think we have everything that we need in place, should the show move forward after this initial mystery.’
The character of Cassie is definitely a massive move away from Penny from Big Bang, with Kaley describing her as ‘extremely flawed’.
‘It’s kind of an actor’s dream to play a character like her,’ she said.
‘Coming off of doing comedy and The Big Bang Theory, there was something about this.’
She’ll be joined in the cast by Haunting Of Hill House’s Michiel Huisman, as well as Doctor Who’s Michelle Gomez and Girls’ star Zosia Mamet – who Kaley made a particularly close bond with.
Speaking at the same press event, Zosia praised working with her co-star and said: ‘Kaley and I read together in a room of people and everyone was like, “did you know each other before?” and immediately she booped me on the nose and we did a little improv.
‘It was love at first sight between us.’
The Flight Attendant is scheduled for release later this year on HBO Max.
