James McVey is evicted from I'm A Celebrity just two days before the final

The Vamps star, who was on the show for 21 days but failed to make it to the final four, admitted it was the "toughest" thing he has ever done.

His eviction – the seventh of the series – followed that of Nick Knowles on Thursday night.

Speaking to Holly and Dec, he said: "It is the toughest thing I have ever done and I am so pleased to have done it."

The star came under fire from fans during tonight’s episode when he complained about being skint despite raking in £150,000 a year.

In a chat with Harry Redknapp, 71, tonight, he was asked what car his drives and James opened up about his earnings.

He revealed that in his best ever year he earned £250,000 from the band, but it's now gone down to £150,000.

He griped that he's even had to buy a second hand car, but dreams of owning a new Range Rover.

The musician said: "I would love a Range Rover but I just can’t afford one, I can’t.”

Earlier in the evening viewers watched as Harry took on the Repvile Centre.

He had 10 minutes to make this way through tanks collecting stars as he went. The stars were attached to magnets, which he had to find buried in hell holes.

The football manager was joined by snakes, baby crocodiles, and a Perenti lizard but he managed to complete the trial and got all the stars for camp.

It was an emotional episode because the stars were surprised by visits from their loved ones.

Harry wept as he was reunited with his wife of 50 years – Sandra.

He said: “It’s funny, 54 years and we just don’t want to be apart, that’s done me up today, I’ve missed her so much. I love you so much.”

Meanwhile Fleur was visited by her sister, John was met by his husband Scott, while James’ girlfriend Kirstie paid him a visit and Emily was delighted to see her mum Kate.
