James Bond replacement for Daniel Craig may be Henry Golding as odds are slashed

The speculation over who will replace Daniel Craig as James Bond has been going on for a while now.

Favourites to replace him have included the likes of Tom Hiddleston, Tom Hardy, Richard Madden, and of course, Idris Elba.

But now a new actor has been thrown into the mix.

Crazy Rich Asians and A Simple Favour star Henry Golding has had his odd slashed to play 007 in Bond 26.

Ladbrokes have slashed the odds on the British-Malaysian actor to 20/1 by both Ladbrokes and Coral.

Sitting comfortably next to Golding are Outlander star Sam Heughan, Lord of the Rings actor Orlando Bloom, and Boardwalk Empire star Jack Huston.

Superman himself Henry Cavill and Poldark star Aidan Turner sit at 16/1 each.

Hiddleston, Norton, Madden and Hardy all sit ahead, with Idris still in the running despite having to rule himself out of the race.

The odds for the favourites are as follows:

Tom Hiddleston (6/4)

James Norton (5/2)

Richard Madden (5/1)

Tom Hardy (6/1)

Idris Elba (8/1)

Daniel Craig still occupies the role of James Bond and will return for Bond 25, due out in 2020.

The film will also see the returns of Lea Seydoux as Dr. Madeleine Swann, Ben Whishaw as Q, Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny, and Ralph Fiennes as M.

In the running to play the film’s villain appears to be Bohemian Rhapsody star Rami Malek, while director Cary Fukunaga has suggested that SPECTRE villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld (Christoph Waltz) could make a comeback too.
