HOLLYOAKS star David Tag has become a dad for the first time – as his girlfriend Abi Harrison gives birth to a baby boy.
The actor – who plays Sylver McQueen on the Channel 4 soap – shared the news today with a picture of the couple's hand with their little one's.
He told his followers: "Welcome to the big wide world baby boy 💙💙."
Speaking to OK! Magazine, he added: “Myself and Abi are both thrilled to share the safe arrival of our beautiful baby boy, born on Wednesday 9th June at 12:14pm.
“Both Abi and our little man are doing great and we can’t wait for you all to meet him!”
The couple were inundated with messages of congratulations from their famous pals and friends.
Cheslee Healey wrote: “Oh my god 🥺🥺🥺🥺 congratulations all can’t wait too see him ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
Nikki Sanderson commented: “Ahh amazing!! Congratulations 💙💙💙”
And Nadine Mulkerrin added: “Congratulations dude xxx”
David announced Abi was pregnant in January of this year as he posted a picture of her bump.
He captioned the snap: "Some good came out of 2020…."
David, who has also starred in Emmerdale as well as Hollyoaks, was part of a major storyline last year when he murdered his serial killer mum Breda with knitting needles.
The brutal scenes shocked and relieved viewers in equal measure as the twisted killer's reign of terror was brought to an end.
