Holly Willoughby is hoping to see a steamy romance glide across the rink when Dancing On Ice returns to screens next month.
The 37-year-old TV host is hoping she can put her matchmaking skills to the test when the winter sport series returns for its 11th season.
Holly reckons there could be some love ahead between contestants, professionals, and possibly even the judges as she takes control of proceedings on the ITV show.
“I really want there to be a romance on Dancing On Ice this series. I always want that to happen. Wouldn’t that be great?” she asked the Daily Star Sunday.
Claiming to be something of a Cupid herself, the This Morning star reckons she will be able to help romance bloom.
“Over the years I’ve set up quite a few people. I like doing it. I’ve helped cause some marriages and some very successful relationships,” she teased.
The star is keen to avoid any catastrophic love matches, however, and appears keen to emphasis she wouldn’t be hoping for a ‘Strictly Curse’ equivalent on Dancing On Ice.
“As long as it’s two single people, then I’m well up for a bit of setting people up,” she said.
Dancing On Ice has seen a bit of love rise in the past – with professional dancer Brianne Delcourt courting past contestants including soap stars Matt Lapinskas, Danny Young and Sam Attwater.
While fellow professional Sylain Longchambon has dated soap beauties Jennifer Metcalfe and Samia Ghadie thanks to the show.
Holly has a mixed success of setting people up on TV in the past.
She co-hosted a revival of Steetmate (the dating show that made Davina McCall a household name in the 1990s) in 2007 – but the show bombed with her in charge.
She also co-hosted a dating show with Fearne Cotton, also in 2007, but this show failed also.
Her other dating show, Meet the Parents, was axed after one season in 2016.
