Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield reveal when they will return to This Morning and if they hang out off screen | The Sun

THIS Morning stars Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield are currently enjoying a well-deserved summer break.

But while the programme has secured the ultimate line-up of stand-in presenters, fans are sure to be wondering when they can expect to see the iconic hosting duo back on their screens.

Holly and Phillip hosted their final show on Friday 8 July before taking their annual holiday.

And the show has revealed they will return to our screens on This Morning on Monday 5 September.

Ahead of their return to the box, the pair spoke about what they miss the most when they're apart from one another.

"Everyone knows everything about everybody, and that’s nice," said Phil.

"I always miss that friendship group, but we all stay in touch outside of the show anyway, WhatsApping stuff and keeping up with everyone’s news.

"It’s not really a job! It's more than a job, it’s much much more than that."

He added, of the show's WhatApp groups where the stars exhange messages behind the scenes: "We definitely have a boxset-watching group!

"If someone is watching something and they like it, it’s a place for recommendations.

"And there are other ones where we are being a little more outrageous where we tell each other stories and update on things that we’ve done and send pictures of where we are.

"We have lots of different WhatsApp groups. We’ve got one with Martin our editor too – but nothing outrageous gets sent to him!

Holly added: "As Phil says, we really have so much fun on the show.

"We're one great big family and that's what makes the show so special and unique.

"We definitely miss that during the summer, but we all stay in touch and will see each other during the break, so it's lovely to be on holiday mode together and catch up outside of the studio."

Holly, who shares her three children, Harry, 13, Belle, 11, and Chester, seven, with husband Dan Baldwin has been spending some quality time with her family while her kids enjoy six weeks off school.

Phillip is also a dad to grown-up daughters, Ruby, 26, and Molly, 29, and has also taken advantage of the lengthy break.

Phillip and Holly return to This Morning from Monday, 5 September at 10am on ITV.
