Here's why EastEnders' Adam Woodyatt walked off This Morning, and the reason is actually adorable

Adam Woodyatt appeared on This Morning on Monday (December 3), but why did he leave in such a hurry?

The EastEnders actor, who plays Ian Beale on the BBC One soap, joined presenters Phillip Schofield and Rochelle Humes on the sofa to discuss his iconic soap role, as well as his forthcoming gig as Abanazar in the Aladdin pantomime in Swindon.

However, as the interview reached its end, viewers were perplexed to see Adam mouth something to Phil before abruptly walking off-camera.

And, viewers wanted to know what happened:

“Right, wtf did Ian Beale just say to Phil on his way out?” Said one viewer. “That was an abrupt exit.”

“I wanna know what Ian Beale just said going into the ad break,” added another.

Following the ad break, the mystery was thankfully solved, and it appears Adam’s exit was actually for a pretty cute (and festive) reason.

Speaking to the camera following the ad break, Phil explained that Adam left the sofa to go and fetch him a bottle of gin — having launched his own gin brand, Neat Gin, last year — as a Christmas present.

Nonetheless, some viewers still weren’t happy, and wanted to know why Adam hadn’t thought to get Rochelle one as well.

Rude.

This Morning continues at 10.30 am tomorrow (December 4) on ITV.
