Graham’s killer might not be rapist Pierce, confirms Emmerdale actor

Graham Foster's killer may not be Pierce Harris, despite the rapist looming over his dead body, actor Jonathan Wrather has confirmed.

The lawyer-turned-convict made a shock return to the ITV soap last night after two years away.

Appearing on This Morning today, however, he revealed that Pierce may not have killed Graham after all.

Host Ruth Langsford said: "All week we've been seeing everybody's story…"

Jonathan asked: "Do you think people feel a little duped? Because all week it's been like a groundhog day. But it still could be any of those contenders. just cos we've seen me…"

Ruth exclaimed: "Just cos we've seen you it doesn't.. oh!"

"And we haven't seen you for two years," pointed out co-host Eamon Holmes.

"We might find out tonight," Jonathan teased.

Asked where Pierce had been, Jonathan explained: "He's been in prison because approximately two years ago he was convicted and sent down for raping his wife rhona.

"I think he believes he's been rehabilitating himself, he's been trying to get into a better place."

Jonathan added: "He's on a crusade to save Rhona from Graham."

Back in December last year, Emmerdale hinted at Pierce's return after Rhona discovered the horrifying news that her ex was being released on parole.

Rhona, played by Zoe Henry, had broken down in tears after receiving the call from her victim liaison officer.

She tearfully told boyfriend Graham: "It took everything I had to forget what he did to me… to try and forget him.

"He’s never going away is he?"

Rhona added: "I can't do this again. You don't know him, that man could break me all over again."

This prompted her to suggest that they move to France in the first place. Did Pierce discover her plans and decide to get rid of Graham?
