Gigi Hadid's family want Zayn Malik to seek therapy in rehab for his heavy cannabis use

GIGI Hadid's family want Zayn Malik to seek therapy in rehab for his heavy cannabis use.

It comes as we can reveal he has previously insisted he is not a misogynist and does respect women.

The troubled former One Direction star’s career was lying in tatters last night after he was sentenced to probation and anger-management classes for four counts of harassing ex-partner Gigi’s mother Yolanda and was dropped by his record label RCA.

In the September 29 incident, at the ranch he shared with Gigi and their one-year-old daughter Khai in Pennsylvania, the singer allegedly called Netherlands-born Yolanda a “f***ing Dutch slut” during a torrid row.

A source close to the Hadid clan said: “Zayn is detached from the world and Gigi’s family have been worried about him for a while.

“It is no secret he loves to smoke pot, but his daily habit seems more important than socialising. He’s been open about his anxiety issues over the years and that’s a huge cause for concern.

“Gigi comes from a large family and it’s been tough for them to deal with over the last few years. They want him to seek help either through therapy or some kind of specialist rehab.

“Gigi wants what’s best for him. Even though they’re not together, he’ll always be the father to their daughter.”

Court papers claim Bradford-born Zayn told Yolanda, “Stay away from my f***ing daughter,” and pushed her into a dresser, causing “mental anguish and physical pain”.

He pleaded no contest to the charges but strongly denies striking her.

Gigi was working in Paris but is believed to have heard most of the altercation over the phone.

Zayn is alleged to have then turned his anger on her, telling her to “strap on some f***ing balls and defend your partner against your f***ing mother in my house”.

The court documents say a security guard was present during the exchange, and claim Zayn screamed at him: “Get the f*** out of my f***ing house, copper.”

Zayn, who was previously engaged to Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards, wrote in his 2016 autobiography: “I’ve been accused of misogyny in the past, for relationship stuff, and that gets to me because I’ve always had a huge amount of respect for women.

"I think all the women I’ve surrounded myself with in a professional and personal capacity would agree with that.

“I’ve found the whole macho world of male aggression and insecurity to be a lot more difficult to exist in. That was my first experience of the music industry.

“Women seem to be able to move their barriers a lot more easily.

“That’s something that draws me much more towards the company of women than other men.”

We hope Zayn gets the help he needs.

Kate’s a sexy DeVil

KATE Ferdinand shows she’s all fur Halloween as she poses in this Cruella De Vil-inspired costume.

The former reality star, who is married to footballer turned pundit Rio, even went to the lengths of matching her Dalmatian-spot cloak, choker and gloves to her phone case.

Kate was not the only star to embrace the spooky season.

Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards dressed up as a fairy in a golden bodice, wings and elf ears that wouldn’t have looked out of place in The Lord Of The Rings.

Lizzo also went down the cute route with a Yoda outfit.

Meanwhile, Joel Dommett and wife Hannah Cooper stuck their tongues out for a laugh as they played the roles of Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker.

And Candice Brown donned devilish face paint and feathers, while Lottie Moss dressed as a vampire and found a bloody axe to lick.

Full marks for effort from us.

Jamie’s medicinal tipple

JAMIE Oliver revealed he drinks more booze since lockdown – and his tipple of choice is whisky.

The TV chef said: “I’ve consumed more alcohol in the last year than I had previously, not in an alcoholic way, but more as a medicine.”

Speaking on Canadian podcast Q, he said: “I get a water bomb balloon, fill it with tap water from Essex, put it in the freezer to make a perfectly sculpted round ice cube that fits in my nice, erotically shaped glass and then top it off with a triple shot of my finest Scotch.”

Jac: My sex scene terror

JACQUELINE Jossa has revealed she was terrified acting out her first EastEnders sex scenes – because she was too young to have experienced the real thing.

The former soap star – who went on to win I’m A Celebrity in 2019 – was cast as troubled Lauren Branning in the BBC soap when she was just 17.

And she admitted on The Secret To . . .  podcast that when it came to men, her character was way ahead of her.

Jacqueline, who is married to Towie’s Dan Osborne, said: “My character had a lot of boyfriends. I basically kissed every man on the square that wasn’t related. And at 17 I was terrified of boys.

“In fact, I filmed like a sex scene – you know, the lead-up to sex – before I’d properly experienced it.”

Jacqueline added: “I remember once I had to dance on the Queen Vic table in little black shorts.

“That’s very not-me. That is so far away from Jacqueline.”

Khan’s a Naughty Celebrity

HE’S collaborated with Beyonce, Sam Smith and Emeli Sande but we can reveal Naughty Boy is set to work with a more motley crew – as he’s signed up for this year’s I’m A Celebrity . . . Get Me Out Of Here.

The music producer – real name Shahid Khan – was set to enter the castle last year but had to pull out at the last minute, and was hastily replaced by eventual runner-up Jordan North.

Shahid will join Frankie Bridge, Adam Woodyatt and Richard Madeley as the show spends a second year at Gwrych Castle, North Wales.

A TV source said: “Shahid is really excited to go into the castle and is up for the challenge. He loves his creature comforts, so he knows it will be a tough gig. He has a lot of personality so he’s hoping this will be a good platform for him.

“Producers hope that around the campfire he will spill on all the pop stars he’s worked with.”

One person Shahid should avoid getting any advice from is his unlikely mate Gemma Collins, who famously left the 2014 I’m A Celeb after just three days, pleading with producers to give her a ham sandwich.

Not her finest hour.

Ferne Dares to try SAS show

FORMER I’m A Celebrity finalist Ferne McCann has signed up for SAS: Who Dares Wins.

Ferne, who finished third on the ITV show in 2014, will be put through her paces by Ant Middleton’s replacement Rudy Heyes and his team, which includes former US Navy SEAL Remi Adeleke, plus familiar faces Jason “Foxy” Fox and Mark Billingham.

We can also reveal that Ferne’s fellow recruits will include Love Island champion Amber Gill, Olympian Jade Jones, WBA boxing star Shannon Courtney and Towie’s Pete Wicks.

The Sun revealed last week that ex-EastEnder Maisie Smith had also signed up.
For the first time, filming will be at a secret military base in Jordan.

Our source said: “The team this year are thrilled with the celebrity line-up.

“With two new instructors and a new location, it looks set to be a great series.”

Bauer's n-ice To Regan

DANCING On Ice star Vanessa Bauer has already set her sights on new contestants Regan Gascoigne and The Vamps’ Connor Ball – sending them both flirty welcome messages.

The glamorous pro skater posted a heart-eye emoji on Regan’s social media and wrote: “Yay, can’t wait to see you on the ice.”

She then sent the same message to Connor.

The unveiling of older stars Brendan Cole and Mark “Bez” Berry was met with silence.

Looks like the German beauty has singled out her key partner targets early.

Shanty Claus

A YEAR ago, Nathan Evans was still working as a postie.

Now the Wellerman – Sea Shanty hitmaker will end a life-changing 12 months with his first tour and three festive songs.

We can reveal that he’ll release Merry Christmas Everyone and Driving Home For Christmas on December 3, followed on December 28 by New Year’s classic Auld Lang Syne.

He told us: “I love Christmas, so I’m buzzing to be releasing this.”

Love cheat

LOVE cheat Alfie Boe seems to have fallen on hard times – he is flogging online singing lessons for £45 a pop.

The classical singer, who was accused of cheating on his ex-wife Sarah, told fans: “We are going to have a lot of fun.”

Compared to his expensive divorce, his students’ tuneless warblings will be music to Alfie’s ears.
