Game of Thrones came to a rather controversial conclusion in the summer of last year. However, the series left many plot holes and unanswered questions when it comes to mythical beings such as the Night King (Vladimir Furdik). Now some real insight has been given into why he did what he did.
After a great deal of speculation, the Night King’s killer was revealed as Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) in the final series of the show.
After a long battle, Arya saved multiple lives by stabbing the Night King with the Valyrian dagger.
However, the real mystery is why the Night King was the way he was.
The show does answer some of these questions about the HBO super villain, such as how he came to be.

Fans will know that the original creation of the Night King was designed to keep men from destroying the Children of the Forest.
The Children of the Forest created the Night King, and the Night King is capable of creating new white walkers himself.
However, why was he on such a mission to kill all humans in sight?
The answer is believed to be, that the children created him with the intention of him single handedly protecting them from all men.
Therefore, it’s understandable that his magical programming essentially meant that he would seek and destroy any living human.
However, it’s unknown if he had any larger plans than to just kill.
Was the only goal of the Night King to kill all living beings?
Or did he have bigger plans for the domination of Planetos?
