As well as the massive storm which is the centrepiece of the Emmerdale 50th anniversary episodes, Harriet Finch (Katherine Down Blyton) and Kim Tate (Claire King) have been left for dead in an explosion.
When the news came through that Amelia (Daisy Campbell) is missing in the storm, both Harriet and Kim joined the search for her, Kim on the magnificent horse on which she arrived a the wedding and Harriet on a quad bike.
As Kim followed the tracks of the quad bike into a wood, a disastrous crash occurred, with Harriet trapped under a quad bike.
An explosion followed, sending both women crashing to the ground, lifeless.
But, if she does survive, will Kim use the opportunity to finish off her rival?
Claire King refuses to give much away in the aftermath of the disaster – and what the consequences might be
‘The lightning strike hits the quad bike and we both get blown back,’ she revealed to Metro.co.uk.
In panic the horse rears and runs off, ‘And leaves Kim stranded in the woods with Harriet.’
Claire reveals that if Harriet died under these circumstances, there could be massive consequences for Kim, after she previously warned Harriet away from messing with her man by quoting the Bible at her!
‘Will’s not going to be too happy, because [he and Harriet] had this bit of an “I love you” thing going on,’ she mused.
‘Kim does suspect there’s something going on between Harriet and Will. I think Will could possibly blame Kim for whatever happens to Harriet.’
But as to whether Harriet makes it to the end of the dramatic week, Claire is staying tight-lipped.
‘I’d like to say I’ve just had a lovely time in Spain,’ she teased. ‘So it might be Kim that goes!’
