Emmerdale’s Cain and Moira Dingle reunion hopes amid brutal Jamie Tate revenge

Emmerdale 's Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) has had her world turned upside down after being seriously injured in a hit and run.

She became determined to find who had left her for dead, and this week she finally discovered the truth as Andrea Tate revealed it was her ex Jamie (Alexander Lincoln).

Horrified by the news, and by the fact that Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) is dating him, she teamed up with her ex Cain to test Belle's loyalty and get her own back on Jamie.

Cain even threatened Jamie with a cricket bat, showing the lengths he would go to to avenge his ex, even after everything they've been through.

Little does he know, Belle and Andrea are teaming up to take Jamie down for good in a brutal revenge plot.

Eden said about the pair: "Belle knows Cain – she's seen him like this a million times and she knows all he wants to do is kick Jamie's head in for what he's done to Moira.

"There is still love there between Cain and Moira. Belle panics that if she lets Cain do what he wants, Jamie could potentially die in this situation."

The pair have been growing closer since Moira's accident, and she overheard him telling her in her hospital bed that he still has feelings for her.

Despite everything they've been through, could the pair end up getting back together for good?

Fans are keen for the pair to get back together, and according to Tombola, Emmerdale has the second highest number of marriage, coming after only Coronation Street, which has been on air for 12 years longer.

Emmerdale has had 73, Coronation Street has had 105, and EastEnders has had 68.

Not only that, Emmerdale also has the second lowest average of divorces being shown per episode.

Corrie on average has 206 episodes in between each divorce, and Emmerdale comes a close second with 196.

In comparison, EastEnders is much higher with 147, meaning it airs the most splits per year.

With those statistics, it means it looks good for Cain and Moira to finally reunite.

Are the pair finally going to get a happy ending?

Emmerdale continues on Monday at 7pm on ITV.
