Emmerdale fans are terrified that Vanessa Woofield's son Johnny is dead.
The youngster was kidnapped alongside his mother before being drugged by evil Pierce Harris.
Tormented Vanessa had to listen to Pierce giving her son some medication on a baby monitor – and was full of dread when he implied he intended to harm Johnny.
"He isn't scared. Not anymore," said twisted Pierce, who then dragged Vanessa upstairs and tied her up next to her boy.
Some viewers felt disturbed after seeing a worrying shot of Johnny – with some claiming it looked like a 'decomposing dead body'.
Emmerdale viewers took to Twitter to question whether Johnny is still alive.
One fan asked: "Is Johnny dead? Why are is eyes dark and sunken like that? Freaked me the Hell out."
"Has Johnny got two black eyes or is he dead and sort of decomposing after a week," added another.
A third said: "All I need to know is that Johnny is still alive"
"Pls Johnny just be sleeping," said a fourth.
Rhona managed to defeat Pierce by live streaming his confession before injecting him with enough tranquilliser to knock out a bull.
While Rhona and Pierce had their dramatic showdown, Kim managed to untie herself and tried to help Vanessa.
Looking over at lifeless Johnny, Kim asked: "What's wrong with the boy?"
Emmerdale are yet to confirm Johnny's fate – but it does not look good for the youngster.
Emmerdale viewers were on the edge of their seats tonight as Rhona finally defeated her evil ex-husband in an explosive showdown.
Pierce tried to flee the village with Rhona but she secretly started live streaming to the 'Free Marlon' crowd-funding page so everyone in the pub heard him confess to killing Graham Foster.
Armed police descended on Laurel Thomas' house and even sent a drone into the sky to look for heat signatures.
They burst into the room and pointed their guns at Pierce as he crawled around on the floor in agony.
Rhona said: "That's Pierce Harris. You’re going to have to arrest him for kidnap and murder. He’s probably going to need an ambulance as well."
Is this really the end we have seen of Pierce?
