Ahead of Emmerdale’s 50th anniversary, it was announced that several familiar faces would be returning to celebrate the milestone, one of which was the much-loved Aaron Dingle.
But what can we expect him to be getting up to? Causing trouble, of course.
Aaron is set to be arrested almost immediately as he returns to the village, actor Danny Miller has revealed.
As he goes to visit Liv (Isobel Steele), he finds Terry attempting to run away having accidentally knocked her unconscious.
‘He walks in, sees a stranger in his house, he could be anybody but given the state of the panic, Aaron just deals with it by punching as always.’ Danny explained.
‘Just as that happens, Harriet walks in so she has no choice but to arrest him. There’s not really much choice for him, it’s just bad timing.’
Aaron’s main aim in returning to the village was to surprise Faith, who has been told she doesn’t have long left to live. As a result of this, he didn’t tell anyone he was coming, leaving mum Chas (Lucy Pargeter) to find out by watching him be arrested.
‘She’s upset until he gets the chance to explain things.’ Danny said.
‘Aaron was back to see Faith, knowing she’s unwell, so he would’ve come back to surprise Chas and the family, but then the timing of it, he goes back to Mill Cottage and doesn’t get the chance to surprise Chas – that comes in the form of her seeing him arrested.’
We all expected for Aaron to cause at least some drama when he returned, but even we didn’t expect it to come quite so soon after his arrival!
