Bridgerton: Regé-Jean Page discusses ‘heads-up’ he gave family
Eloise Bridgerton (played by Claudia Jessie) is one of the Bridgerton siblings in the number one Netflix series of the same name. The period drama follows the family as they attempt to find suitors during the marriage season. Eloise shows no interest in men or marriage, but she eventually ends up finding love with someone.
Who does Eloise Bridgerton end up with?
Bridgerton continues to take the top spot in the Netflix charts and for those who have watched the series, it is not hard to see why.
The saucy and scandalous historical drama, set during Regency London, hones in on the Bridgerton and Featherington families as they attempt to marry off their eldest daughters.
Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) is the eldest daughter and the focus is on finding her a suitable partner.
She eventually finds love in the most unlikely place, with the Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page) and they live happily ever after.
Eloise is the second daughter in the family, and she is next in line to be matched with a husband.

In the series, Eloise is very different to the rest of her female siblings, as she shows little regard for marriage.
Instead, she intended to focus on her independence and she was an advocate for women making their own way in the world.
To distract herself from the matchmaking, she made it her mission to reveal the identity of the mysterious Lady Whistledown (voiced by Julie Andrews).
She was also bold enough to speak out about how women conceived children, much to the surprise of her mother (Ruth Gemmell).
Fans may be shocked to hear Eloise does eventually settle down with a husband – Sir Phillip Crane (Chris Fulton).
The series is based on a set of novels of the same name by Julia Quinn, and she has created a Bridgerton family tree.
The tree reveals the partners of all the Bridgerton siblings, from when the series starts in 1813.
Eloise’s romance journey features in the fifth book, called To Sir Phillip, With Love, and it is in this book that she meets Sir Phillip Crane.
Phillip was introduced in the first season of Bridgerton as the brother of George Crane, and George had been in love with Marina Thompson (Ruby Barker).
He had travelled to tell Marina of how her lover George had died, and he offered to take Marina’s hand in marriage instead.

At the end of the series, Phillip and Marina are seen getting into a carriage together, so it is presumed Marina finally agreed to marry him.
In the books, Phillip and Eloise find themselves writing to each other on a regular basis, and Phillip eventually asked for them both to meet in person.
They may not have been the best-suited couple, but they embrace each other’s quirks and cannot stay away from each other.
Of course, there is a chance the TV adaptation will stray from the source material and send Eloise down a different path.
Her feisty character became one of the fan-favourites in the series, so the creators may choose to keep her as an independent woman.
Towards the end of the first season, she eventually agreed to try on some new dresses and fulfil her mother’s request, as she needed to prepare for the next marriage season.
Yet she still struggled to fit in when it came to attending public events, and she would make any excuse to leave early as to avoid speaking to men.
Quinn describes Phillip as being a “large brute of a man, rough and rugged, and totally unlike the London gentlemen vying for her hand”.
The thing is, Eloise is not looking for a gentleman like those in London, so perhaps Phillip is the kind of man she needs, after all.
The synopsis for To Sir Phillip, With Love says: “But when he smiled…and when he kissed her… the rest of the world simply fell away, and she couldn’t help but wonder, could this imperfect man be perfect for her?”
