Dancing on Ice's Siva Kaneswaran will be unable to perform on Sunday, February 11.

Siva has been paired up with professional Klabera Komini as the duo have been working hard to skate their way through to the final – but he's needed to take a step back this week.

ITV have confirmed that Siva is too unwell to continue with the show on Sunday night, but he is expected to be back and healthy by next weekend.

A spokesperson for the show confirmed the news as they said: "Due to illness Siva will not skate in this weekend's show. We look forward to welcoming him back next weekend."

Siva added: "I'm gutted that I won't be performing this weekend but I picked up a bug earlier in the week which I haven’t been able to shake so I need to rest and get myself better.

"Good luck to all the contestants this weekend – I'm looking forward to watching everyone's performances!"

Siva gave a further update on his Instagram story as he said: "So gutted I can't perform this weekend. I've got a viral infection in my chest and it just got worse and worse.

"I just can't shake it. Wishing all the contestants good luck this weekend on Sunday, you're gonna do great. I'll be watching. Lots of love guys."

Siva was filming himself tucked up in bed as he appeared to be losing his voice a little, but he's hopeful to return feeling much better imminently.

Fans immediately through their support behind him as one person wrote: "Oh no that's not good, get better soon Siva!"

While another said: "Get well soon and rest up for next week Siva. You are doing brilliantly on Dancing on Ice and will be missed tomorrow night."

A third added: "Aww get better soon Siva."

Siva's brief break comes after Ekin-Su left the competition last week, with Michelle Heaton and Josh Fashanu both heading out just beforehand.

Another star is expected to be eliminated tomorrow night as the celebrities continue to battle it out to be crowned winner of Dancing on Ice 2023.
