A DANCING on Ice star has announced their shock split after five and a half years together – months after competing on the show.

The Vivienne took to social media on Friday afternoon to reveal that the couple had waved goodbye after "five and a half years".

The iconic drag queen, real name James Lee Williams, asked his fans to "respect their privacy" after announcing the news.

"As many may have noticed, David and I have been apart recently," he penned in a post, typed out on a white background.

"We have made the decision to part ways after an amazing five and half years. We are still very much friends, but sometimes life gets in the way and people grow apart.
